Roofing Project

Not much going on for the next couple of weeks.  Starting a roof & window replacement project on the house just in time for winter.  Trying to get the old place semi-maintenance free.

On the Mustang II my next steps are to remove the forward fuselage side skins and structure to debur, dimple, and start riveting together.  When I get to that point I'll get some pictures and stuff together.

  2. Smart move to finish all the replacement projects before the cold weather hit your area. It’s harder to finish a project, particularly a roof replacement, if it is freezing outside. We just finished replacing our roof a week ago, and I think the timing is just perfect to prepare us for the Christmas season. Now we can just sit back, relaxing, and enjoy some hot coco while the snow falls down outside!

  3. I agree with Will here. The roof and windows are the things that protect our homes from harsh weather conditions. It also helps regulate and insulate the temperature inside the house so that we won’t freeze on winter and feel the scorching during summer. Anyway, how’s it now? I bet you did a great job with it.

  4. Will & Kristopher,

It is great having new windows. We can not feel the cold winds blowing through the house as in past winters. Now that the home projects are done for now, I am back in the garage working on the plane. Hope to have a fresh update later this week.

    Thanks for the comments!
